YouTube has officially rolled out a new YouTube AI playlist generator for Premium users, further strengthening its push toward AI-driven personalization. The feature is now available to select users on iOS and Android devices.

How the YouTube AI Playlist Generator Works

Premium subscribers can access the YouTube AI playlist generator by heading to the Library tab, tapping the “New” button, and selecting “AI playlist.” From there, users can type or speak natural-language prompts to instantly generate curated playlists.

Prompts can range from mood-based and genre-specific to event-driven requests, such as:

• “Progressive house mix for a chill party”
• “Indie pop”
• “90s classic hits”

The AI then automatically builds a playlist tailored to the prompt, making music discovery faster and more intuitive.
