Samsung Electronics has announced the expansion of its Galaxy AI multi-agent ecosystem, strengthening its push toward an open and integrated artificial intelligence framework designed to deliver more flexible and personalized user experiences.

The move reflects a broader shift in how people use AI in daily life, with Samsung positioning Galaxy AI as a system-level solution that reduces effort, simplifies tasks, and allows users to choose from multiple AI agents depending on their needs.

Galaxy AI Multi-Agent Ecosystem Focuses on Choice and Flexibility

Samsung’s expanded Galaxy AI multi-agent ecosystem is built around the idea of providing users with greater control over their AI experiences. The company aims to reduce the number of steps required to complete everyday tasks by integrating AI directly into the operating system rather than limiting it to individual applications.

According to Samsung, the system works by understanding user context and enabling natural interactions across different services. This approach minimizes the need to switch between apps or repeat commands, allowing AI to function seamlessly in the background.

Samsung said the ecosystem is designed to curate experiences from multiple supporting services while maintaining a consistent and integrated interface across Galaxy devices.

Samsung’s decision to expand the Galaxy AI multi-agent ecosystem is supported by user behavior insights cited by the company.

According to recent research referenced by Samsung, nearly eight in ten users now rely on more than two types of AI agents depending on the task. The findings indicate that AI is becoming increasingly embedded in everyday routines, with users seeking specialized tools for different functions.

This trend has influenced Samsung’s strategy to support multiple integrated agents within a unified system, giving users the flexibility to choose experiences that match their preferences and workflows.

Perplexity Integration Enhances AI Capabilities

As part of the ecosystem expansion, Samsung will introduce Perplexity as an additional AI agent on upcoming flagship Galaxy devices.

Users will be able to activate the Perplexity agent using the voice command “Hey Plex” or through quick-access controls such as pressing and holding the device’s side button. The integration aims to make contextual assistance easier to access.

Perplexity’s AI will be embedded across several Samsung applications, including Samsung Notes, Clock, Gallery, Reminder, and Calendar, as well as select third-party apps. The integration supports multi-step workflows, allowing users to move between tasks without manually managing separate applications.

Samsung said this system-level integration is intended to deliver a more flexible and streamlined AI experience across devices.
