Google TV Gemini Features Bring AI Video Creation and Smarter Photo Search

Google TV Gemini Features are expanding with a new set of AI-powered tools that bring video creation, photo enhancements, and smarter search directly to the television screen. Google also announced a dedicated short-form feed that brings YouTube Shorts to the Google TV home screen.

What’s New in Google TV Gemini Features

At the center of the update is the Gemini tab, where users will see a new “Create” button. This gives access to generative AI tools called Nano Banana and Veo. The rollout begins on Gemini-enabled TCL TVs in the United States, with wider device support expected later.

The update shows how Google is positioning the TV as more than a streaming device by turning it into an interactive AI hub for the living room.

Nano Banana Brings AI Image Editing to TV

One of the headline Google TV Gemini Features is Nano Banana, an image-generation and editing tool. It allows users to transform photos using simple voice prompts.

According to the announcement, users can change outfits, swap backgrounds, or generate entirely new scenes. Google described the feature as a fun shared experience for families, encouraging playful prompts and creative experimentation.

Veo Lets Users Create AI Videos

Another major addition is Veo, which enables users to create short clips from scratch or animate still images by describing a scenario.

For example, users can enter imaginative prompts and generate animated scenes directly from their TV. This adds a creative video layer to the broader Google TV Gemini Features rollout.

Google Photos Gets Smarter on the Big Screen

Google Photos is also receiving new capabilities. With Gemini-powered search, users can quickly find specific memories such as birthdays or vacations without manually scrolling through large libraries.

Search results appear in a browsable format, with options to view photos full-screen or start slideshows.

New Remix and Dynamic Slideshows Tools

The update also introduces “Remix,” which lets users apply artistic styles like watercolor or oil painting to photos.

Meanwhile, “Dynamic Slideshows” adds animated layouts, frames, and color treatments. Users can create TV-ready slideshows by selecting Google Photos within screensaver settings.

Why It Matters

The latest Google TV Gemini Features show how AI is moving into everyday home entertainment devices. Instead of only watching content, users can now search memories faster, generate visuals, and interact with creative tools from the couch.
