Nothing Essential Voice Launches as a Smart AI Dictation Tool for Faster Typing

Nothing Essential Voice is the latest AI dictation tool to enter the fast-growing voice productivity market, giving users a new way to turn speech into polished text directly inside apps.

Nothing Essential Voice Brings AI Dictation Tool to Phones

Hardware brand Nothing has introduced Essential Voice, a built-in feature designed to convert spoken words into formatted text. Like other tools in the category, it works across apps and removes filler words such as “um” and “ah” during transcription.

The goal is simple: help users write faster without manually typing every message, note, or response.

Smart Shortcuts and Cross-App Productivity

One standout feature of the AI dictation tool is support for custom voice shortcuts. Users can assign phrases, links, templates, or repeated text commands to spoken triggers.

For example, saying a phrase like “my address” can instantly insert a saved full address. That can make repetitive tasks quicker for both personal and work use.

Users can access Nothing Essential Voice by pressing the Essential key on supported devices or launching it from the keyboard.

Translation and Multi-Language Support

Nothing said the feature can also translate text from one language to another. At launch, the AI dictation tool supports more than 100 languages.

That broad language coverage could make the feature useful for multilingual messaging, travel, and global communication.

Device Availability and Rollout Plans

The feature is currently available on Phone (3). Nothing said rollout for Phone (4a) Pro is planned later this month, while support for Phone (4a) is expected next month.

This phased rollout suggests the company is gradually expanding the tool across its device lineup.

What Comes Next for Nothing Essential Voice

Nothing also said future updates will bring app-based custom styling. That means users may be able to adjust tone and editing styles based on categories such as work or messaging.

With system-level integration becoming more important, Nothing Essential Voice shows how smartphone makers are starting to build AI dictation tool features directly into their software experience.
