QuTwo AI Valuation Hits $380M as Peter Sarlin Bets on Europe’s Next AI Era

QuTwo AI valuation has climbed to approximately $380 million after the Finnish AI lab secured a €25 million angel funding round, signaling continued investor confidence in European AI and quantum-inspired computing.

Founded by former Silo AI CEO Peter Sarlin, the company is positioning itself as a long-term player in enterprise AI and next-generation computing.

QuTwo AI Valuation Reflects Investor Interest in European AI

The QuTwo AI valuation now stands at €325 million, or roughly $380 million, following the latest funding round.

The company says its focus remains firmly on enterprise AI, even though its branding references quantum computing.

Its main product, QuTwo OS, acts as an orchestration layer capable of directing workloads across classical, quantum, or hybrid computing systems.

Enterprise AI Drives QuTwo’s Business Strategy

The QuTwo AI valuation is closely tied to the company’s growing enterprise business.

According to Sarlin, the company has already secured around $23 million in committed revenue through partnerships with firms including Zalando, where QuTwo helped develop AI assistants.

Sarlin emphasized that AI remains the company’s primary focus, describing quantum as “just a new type of compute.”

Long-Term Vision Shapes QuTwo AI Valuation

A major factor behind the QuTwo AI valuation is the company’s long-term approach.

Sarlin said QuTwo is aiming for a five- to ten-year horizon rather than pursuing aggressive short-term scaling. He also noted that he avoided turning Silo AI into “Europe’s OpenAI” before AMD acquired the company for $665 million in 2024.

Angel Investors Back European Sovereign Tech

The QuTwo AI valuation also reflects growing momentum around sovereign European technology initiatives.

Instead of accepting venture capital funding, Sarlin chose to raise money from angel investors, partly due to the geopolitical push for European alternatives to U.S. technology providers.

The investor group includes figures such as Yuri Milner, Xavier Niel, Nico Rosberg, Dieter Schwarz, and Niklas Zennström.

Expansion and Hiring Accelerate Growth

The QuTwo AI valuation comes as the company expands operations across Europe.

QuTwo recently entered Sweden and has hired roughly 50 quantum and AI scientists, according to Sarlin. The team also includes former Silo AI co-founder Kaj-Mikael Björk and IQM co-founder Kuan Yen Tan.

Quantum-Inspired Computing Remains Part of the Vision

Although enterprise AI is central to the company, the QuTwo AI valuation also reflects optimism around quantum-inspired computing.

The company believes hybrid systems combining classical and quantum approaches could help support more advanced research and development efforts in industries such as automotive, life sciences, and gaming.

Why This Matters

The QuTwo AI valuation highlights growing confidence in Europe’s ability to build globally competitive AI companies.

By combining enterprise AI with long-term research ambitions, QuTwo is positioning itself as part of a broader movement toward sovereign AI infrastructure and next-generation computing in Europe.
