ServiceNow University has officially launched in India with an ambitious goal: to train one million learners in AI skills by 2027. The announcement came during the company’s first AI Skills Summit in Hyderabad, attended by 1,200 students in person and over 20,000 participants online.

The initiative is part of ServiceNow’s broader mission to train three million people globally, with India positioned as a key growth market for the company.

Currently, ServiceNow University supports 318,000 active learners and has 116,000 certified professionals, already fueling talent pipelines for ServiceNow’s partners and enterprise customers.

“Organisations are adopting AI at record speed, but there simply aren’t enough skilled professionals to power this transformation,” said Sumeet Mathur, Senior VP & MD, ServiceNow India Technology & Business Centre. “That’s exactly what ServiceNow University is designed to fix.”

ServiceNow University Bridging India’s AI Skills Gap

According to ServiceNow research, Agentic AI could transform over 10 million jobs in India by 2030. At the same time, the nation is projected to add three million new tech workers in the next five years. ServiceNow University aims to close this gap with free, gamified, and AI-personalised learning pathways covering software development, data engineering, cybersecurity, and more.

The platform integrates with universities, government skill programs, and regulators like AICTE to make its courses widely accessible across India.

Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, MD & GVP for India and SAARC at ServiceNow, emphasized the shift from pure coding roles to business-tech-commercial skills and reaffirmed the goal of training one million Indian learners by 2027 as part of the global target of three million.
