Anthropic Equity Home Deal Puts Bay Area Property Up for Stock Swap

Anthropic equity Home Deal is turning heads in the Bay Area after a homeowner listed a 13-acre property in Mill Valley with an unusual requirement: the buyer would need Anthropic equity instead of a traditional cash purchase.

What Is the Anthropic equity Home Deal?

Storm Duncan, a homeowner and investment banker, created a LinkedIn page for the property and said he would like to exchange the home for Anthropic equity.

According to the San Francisco Standard, Duncan described the move as a diversification strategy. He said he is under-concentrated in AI investments relative to the future importance of artificial intelligence and over-concentrated in real estate.

He also suggested that a younger Anthropic employee could be in the opposite position, holding equity but wanting property exposure.

How the Proposed Transaction Could Work

Duncan asked interested buyers to contact him directly by email to discuss deal terms.

He said the arrangement would be a private transaction and would not require the buyer to sell their stock outright. On LinkedIn, he also stated that the buyer would continue to retain 20% of the upside value of the exchanged shares during the lockup period.

That structure makes the offer stand out from a typical home sale and reflects growing interest in alternative wealth transfers tied to private tech equity.

A Prime Bay Area Property

The property is located in Mill Valley, north of San Francisco, and spans 13 acres.

Duncan bought the home in 2019 for $4.75 million. He also said the residence is currently occupied by a high-profile venture capitalist, though he declined to identify the tenant.

Why This Listing Matters

The Anthropic equity Home Deal highlights how AI wealth is beginning to influence markets beyond startups and venture capital.

As private AI companies gain higher valuations, their shares may increasingly be viewed as currency for larger transactions, including real estate.

For now, the Mill Valley listing stands as a rare example of how the AI boom is reshaping traditional asset exchanges.
