- The system generates a short narrative describing the scene.
From there, users can adjust three physical dials that control perspective, time and mood. These inputs influence how the scent is created.
In one trial, a photo of a couple eating fruit on stone steps was interpreted from the apple’s perspective — described as “in use” and “calm.” The AI then generated a fragrance blending spiced apple, pear and earthy musk.
The final step? The scent is dispensed from the bottom of the device — allowing users to literally smell a memory, even if it isn’t their own.
