The Anthropic Claude integrations have officially entered beta, giving users broader access to third-party app connectivity and significantly upgraded research capabilities via the company’s flagship AI assistant, Claude.

Announced on Thursday, the new features — “Integrations” and “Advanced Research” — are now accessible for Claude Max, Team, and Enterprise users, with Claude Pro support coming soon. The launch also includes an increase in rate limits for Claude Code, the company’s AI coding assistant, available to Max-tier users.

New Tools Extend Claude’s Enterprise Reach

The Integrations feature builds upon Anthropic’s Model-Connector Protocol (MCP), enabling Claude to connect directly with various business applications, tools, and content sources. Developers can now create custom app servers that allow Claude to access deeper context and perform more dynamic tasks inside users’ digital workspaces.

“When users link Claude to their tools, it gains meaningful insight into project timelines, content repositories, and workflow structures — enabling action-oriented responses across platforms,” Anthropic wrote in a product update.

The rollout includes integrations with top-tier enterprise tools such as Atlassian, Zapier, Intercom, Cloudflare, Square, and PayPal. Each connection enhances Claude’s functionality. For instance, the Atlassian link allows Claude to create and summarize documentation inside Confluence, while Zapier’s workflow automation expands Claude’s operational reach across thousands of apps.

Advanced Research Brings Deeper Intelligence

Alongside integrations, Anthropic introduced “Advanced Research,” a new tool that enables Claude to scan and analyze vast sets of data — both internal and external, delivering detailed, source-cited research summaries in as little as five minutes.

Unlike earlier versions, which compiled shallow summaries in under a minute, Advanced Research now utilizes Claude’s improved reasoning model. This enables the AI to break down user queries, investigate each component thoroughly, and produce reports ranging from 5 to 45 minutes in depth and scope. The results include live citations with direct links to original sources.

Available via the Claude Desktop app on macOS and Windows, Advanced Research leverages MCP connectors to tap into local drives and external databases, making it a robust, enterprise-ready research solution.

Positioning Against AI Rivals

The introduction of Anthropic Claude integrations and the revamped research feature underscores the company’s ambition to rival AI incumbents such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot — all of which have recently introduced similar knowledge tools powered by reasoning-based models.

While Anthropic’s earlier research tools offered speed, they lacked the analytical depth now made possible through these updates. With the addition of real-time integrations and expanded multi-source crawling, Claude positions itself as a serious contender for businesses seeking advanced, automated intelligence solutions.

Anthropic reportedly aims to generate $34.5 billion in revenue by 2027 — a sharp rise from its annualized revenue of $1.4 billion as of March this year. These product enhancements suggest the company is accelerating its roadmap to capture market share in the enterprise AI sector.

Anthropic’s latest rollout reinforces its position in the evolving AI landscape, where contextual understanding and deeper app integration are becoming essential for competitive success.
