Chelsea AI Shirt Sponsor Deal With IFS Until End of Season

Chelsea has confirmed a Chelsea AI shirt sponsor deal with artificial intelligence technology company IFS, marking a significant partnership between sports and emerging AI-driven innovation. The agreement positions IFS as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor until the end of the current season, while a broader partnership will continue until 2028.

The move ends Chelsea’s long period without a permanent shirt sponsor and highlights how AI companies are expanding their presence in global sports marketing.

Chelsea AI Shirt Sponsor Deal With IFS Confirmed

The Chelsea AI shirt sponsor deal will see IFS branding featured on the men’s and women’s team kits in upcoming matches. The logo will appear on the shirts of Liam Rosenior’s men’s team during their Premier League match against Burnley at Stamford Bridge and on Sonia Bompastor’s women’s team during their Women’s Super League clash against Manchester United.

Chelsea had not secured a permanent front-of-shirt sponsor since its partnership with telecommunications company Three ended in 2023. With this new agreement, the club is no longer the only Premier League side without a sponsor in the prime shirt position.

Multi-Year Partnership Extends Beyond Shirt Sponsorship

While the Chelsea AI shirt sponsor deal covers front-of-shirt branding only until the end of the season, the overall agreement between Chelsea and IFS forms part of a wider multi-year global partnership running until 2028.

Under the terms of the deal, IFS will step away from the front-of-shirt position during the summer, though the companies will continue their collaboration through other strategic initiatives. Chelsea is reportedly seeking approximately £65 million per season for its next long-term front-of-shirt sponsorship agreement.

Chelsea’s Recent Short-Term Sponsorship Strategy

Before finalising the Chelsea AI shirt sponsor deal, the club had relied on temporary arrangements to fill the sponsorship space. Sports technology company Infinite Athlete and property developer Damac previously featured on Chelsea shirts through short-term agreements.

These interim partnerships reflected the club’s ongoing efforts to secure a high-value long-term sponsor while maintaining commercial visibility.

AI’s Growing Presence in Sports Partnerships

The partnership highlights the increasing role of artificial intelligence companies in global sports branding and commercial deals. By partnering with Chelsea, IFS gains significant global exposure while the club strengthens its commercial portfolio through technology-driven collaborations.

The Chelsea AI shirt sponsor deal signals a growing intersection between sports, technology, and innovation as clubs seek new revenue streams and partnerships in emerging sectors.
