When burnout hits hard, who has time for a real vacation? Now, there’s an AI app for that. Meet Endless Summer AI app, a new iPhone photobooth tool that creates ultra-realistic vacation photos of you — even if you never left your room.
Created by Laurent Del Rey, a product designer who recently joined Meta’s Superintelligence Lab, the app uses cutting-edge AI to generate hyperreal images of you sipping cocktails by the beach, exploring European streets, or relaxing at a sunset dinner with friends.
“When burnout hits and you need to manifest the soft life you deserve,” Del Rey wrote on X when introducing the project — and that’s exactly the vibe Endless Summer captures.
AI-Powered Escapes for the Overworked
The Endless Summer AI app taps into a rising cultural moment — where hustle culture and digital escapism collide. As startup founders and tech workers embrace intense “996” work schedules (9 a.m. to 9 p.m., six days a week), the idea of faking your downtime feels strangely fitting — and a little dystopian.
Using the app is simple: open it, tap a small camera button, and watch as Endless Summer’s AI transforms your selfies into cinematic “vacation” scenes. The interface mimics a camera roll, filling up with beautifully stylized snapshots that look like they were taken by a professional travel photographer.
Powered by Google’s Gemini Nano-Banana Model
Behind the scenes, the app relies on Gemini’s Nano-Banana image model, which generates high-quality, lifelike photos featuring your AI likeness in various global settings. Each shot carries a warm, vintage aesthetic — think film grain and natural lighting — giving the illusion of authentic, candid moments.

Del Rey emphasizes privacy: photos aren’t stored unless you enable auto-generation mode, and deleting your account erases all data instantly.
Not Free, But Surprisingly Affordable
After six free trial photos, Endless Summer invites users to subscribe. Pricing starts at $3.99 for 30 images, $17.99 for 150, and $34.99 for 300. There’s also a quirky “Room Service” mode that automatically delivers two new AI vacation photos every morning — perfect for those craving a daily digital getaway.
Halloween Mode & Nostalgic Aesthetic
In a seasonal twist, users can now switch from beach scenes to Halloween-themed photos, complete with costumes and festive backdrops. The film-style filters evoke early-2000s nostalgia, echoing the current trend of lo-fi, unpolished digital photography popularized by Gen Z.
At a time when social media is full of over-curated, hyper-perfect visuals, Endless Summer AI app ironically makes digital life feel a little more human — even if it’s all just an illusion.
