Google is officially scaling its AI ambitions. On Tuesday, the company announced that the Google AI Plus plan is now available in all markets where its AI subscriptions are offered — including the United States, where it’s priced at $7.99 per month.
The global rollout adds 35 new countries and territories, building on earlier launches that began in emerging markets like Indonesia last September. With this move, Google is positioning the Google AI Plus plan as an accessible entry point for users who want more than free AI tools but don’t need the full $20-per-month Pro tier.

The Google AI Plus plan bundles several of Google’s most advanced AI tools into a single, lower-cost subscription. Subscribers gain access to:
- Gemini 3 Pro and Nano Banana Pro inside the Gemini app
- Flow AI filmmaking tools
- Research and writing assistance in NotebookLM
- 200GB of cloud storage
- The ability to share benefits with up to five family members
Google also confirmed that existing Google One Premium 2TB subscribers will automatically receive all Google AI Plus plan benefits over the coming days, at no additional cost.
Built for a Broader, More Casual AI Audience
Initially, Google framed the Google AI Plus plan as a solution for emerging markets — regions where price sensitivity is high but AI adoption potential is massive. That strategy is now extending to developed markets like the U.S., where the $8 price point could attract more casual users curious about AI.
Pricing varies by region. In India, for example, the Google AI Plus plan costs ₹399 (about $4.44 USD) per month, while in many other markets it comes in under $5.
This approach mirrors a broader industry trend: bringing AI subscriptions to scale by lowering the barrier to entry.
