WisdomAI Data Analytics Startup Raises $50M from Kleiner Perkins and Nvidia

The race to make business data smarter just got hotter. WisdomAI, a fast-growing AI data analytics startup founded by Rubrik co-founder Soham Mazumdar, has raised $50 million in a new Series A round led by Kleiner Perkins, with participation from NVentures, Nvidia’s venture capital arm.

This fresh round comes just six months after WisdomAI’s $23 million seed round led by Coatue, pushing total funding to $73 million — an impressive feat for a company less than a year out of stealth.

Turning Complex Data into Simple Answers

At its core, the WisdomAI data analytics startup is trying to solve one of the toughest challenges in enterprise tech: how to turn messy, complex data into actionable insights anyone can understand.

Instead of relying on analysts or data scientists, WisdomAI lets users simply ask natural-language questions like:

“How many customers are in my sales pipeline, and what’s stopping them from closing this quarter?”

Behind the scenes, the company’s proprietary enterprise context layer interprets messy data — including unstructured or “dirty” datasets riddled with typos or errors — to deliver accurate, explainable results.

But what really sets WisdomAI apart is how it avoids one of the biggest pitfalls of generative AI: hallucination.

Tackling the AI Hallucination Problem

Mazumdar says WisdomAI doesn’t use large language models (LLMs) to generate answers — only to write data queries.

That means even if the model “hallucinates,” the worst that happens is a poorly written query, not a fabricated answer. The system still retrieves verified information directly from the company’s databases, ensuring accuracy and trustworthiness — something many AI systems still struggle to achieve.

“We wanted to make analytics dynamic, proactive, and intelligent — not static reports you ignore,” Mazumdar explained.

From Two Customers to Forty in Under a Year

Since officially launching in late 2024, the WisdomAI data analytics startup has grown from just two enterprise customers to more than 40.

Notable clients include Cisco, ConocoPhillips, Patreon, and Descope, with adoption spreading fast inside organizations.

One enterprise started with 10 users and expanded to 450 employees in just a few months — a sign of how deeply WisdomAI’s platform is resonating.

“Once users see what it can do, they want everyone in the company to have access,” Mazumdar said.

Making Analytics Proactive, Not Passive

The company is also introducing new AI agent capabilities that push analytics into real-time action.

Mazumdar explained that his own team uses one of these agents to monitor product usage and helpdesk metrics. Instead of waiting for daily reports, the system alerts him instantly when something significant happens — whether that’s a sudden spike in support tickets or an unexpected drop in user engagement.

“That’s the magic,” he said. “Analytics has always been about static reports, but we’re making it proactive and alive.”

Deep Roots in Enterprise Data

The founders of the WisdomAI data analytics startup aren’t newcomers to enterprise infrastructure. All of them previously worked with Mazumdar at Rubrik, the $5 billion data security company he co-founded before leaving in 2023.

Their collective experience with large-scale data storage and processing gave them the foundation to build WisdomAI’s “enterprise context layer” — a system that understands how organizations structure and use their data.

That deep technical DNA is part of what attracted Kleiner Perkins and Nvidia’s NVentures, two of the most active investors in enterprise and AI infrastructure.

The Investors’ Take

Mamoon Hamid, Partner at Kleiner Perkins, said in a statement that WisdomAI’s focus on data reliability is what sets it apart from other AI startups:

“While many are chasing the next generative trend, WisdomAI is tackling a real pain point — turning enterprise data chaos into clarity.”

An Nvidia spokesperson added that WisdomAI’s approach aligns with Nvidia’s mission to accelerate enterprise AI:

“Their ability to integrate AI intelligence into every layer of a business’s data stack is remarkable.”

The Road Ahead

With this new round of funding, WisdomAI plans to accelerate product development, expand engineering teams, and grow its enterprise presence across North America and Europe.

Mazumdar says the long-term goal is to make data “conversational and contextual” — a living system that continuously learns and adapts to how employees actually work.

“We want to make interacting with data as easy as talking to a colleague,” he said.

As the WisdomAI data analytics startup continues to scale, it’s positioning itself not just as another AI company — but as the platform that could finally make enterprise data truly intelligent.
