Gemini Intelligence Android features are becoming a major part of Google’s broader AI push across mobile devices. During its Android Show: I/O Edition event on Tuesday, Google unveiled several new Gemini-powered tools designed to automate tasks, improve productivity, and personalize the Android experience.
The updates include agentic AI capabilities that can complete actions across apps, browse the web, fill out forms, transcribe speech, and even help users create custom Android widgets using natural language prompts.
The rollout highlights Google’s growing effort to position Gemini as a deeply integrated AI assistant within Android rather than simply a standalone chatbot.

Gemini Intelligence Android Features Expand Agentic AI Capabilities
One of the biggest announcements involves Gemini’s growing ability to perform multi-step tasks directly across Android apps.
Google had already introduced some early agentic AI functions earlier this year during the Samsung Galaxy S26 launch, including food ordering and ride booking features. Now, the company is expanding those capabilities further.
According to Google, Gemini will soon be able to handle more advanced workflows, such as copying a grocery list from a notes app and automatically adding those items into a shopping app cart. Users activate the feature by holding the phone’s power button and describing the task verbally. The content currently displayed on the device screen acts as contextual information for Gemini while it works through the process.
Google noted that Gemini will still require final user confirmation before completing purchases or checkouts.
Gemini Intelligence Android Features Add Web Browsing and Form Filling
Google is also expanding Gemini’s experimental web-browsing capabilities to Android devices.
The feature, initially introduced earlier this year, allows Gemini to browse websites and help complete tasks such as scheduling appointments. Google confirmed that the functionality is now making its way to Android as part of the broader rollout.
In late June, Android devices will also receive Gemini integration inside Chrome. Similar to the desktop experience, the AI assistant will help summarize web content and answer questions related to active webpages.
Another addition focuses on AI-powered form completion. According to Google, Gemini can learn user preferences through Personal Intelligence and automatically fill out forms on behalf of users. The company said the feature remains optional and can be disabled through settings at any time.
Gemini Intelligence Android Features Bring AI Dictation to Gboard
Google is also integrating Gemini directly into Gboard with a new dictation feature called Rambler.
The feature uses Gemini’s multimodal AI capabilities to allow users to speak naturally while the system transcribes and formats their speech automatically. Google said Rambler can remove filler words and preserve a user’s tone while generating cleaner text output.
The functionality closely mirrors trends already emerging across AI-powered voice dictation applications.
Android Users Can Now Create AI-Powered Widgets
Google also introduced a new widget-generation system powered by natural language prompts.
Users will be able to describe the type of widget they want, and Gemini will generate a custom Android widget automatically. One example shared by Google involved creating a meal-planning widget by asking Gemini to suggest high-protein meal prep recipes every week.
The company said the new Gemini Intelligence Android features will follow Google’s Material 3 expressive design language.
Google noted that the rollout will begin this summer on the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices before expanding to additional Android hardware later this year.
