Mozilla is officially rolling out its AI features in its upcoming desktop update, but in a move that sets it apart from competitors, the company is giving users full control to disable Firefox AI features entirely.

The new version, Firefox 148, goes live on desktop on February 24. While many browsers are aggressively embedding artificial intelligence into core workflows, Mozilla is taking a more cautious, user-first approach—making its AI features optional, transparent and easy to turn off.
